A young girl, not more than 10 years old, came up to me while I was painting this scene and asked me - in my opinion - what is more important than any technical question: “what inspires you to paint”?! My answer was easy, the scenes may change, but its almost always about the light! And composing this, in concert with the darker and shadow shapes, in a manner to tell a story and hopefully evoke a feeling of being there?!
